The Aristocrat includes 78 cards and 11 character-specific relics. The Aristocrat climbs the Spire with 999 starting gold. The starter deck contains seven Strikes and seven Defends, giving the early deck a heavy and distinctive shape. The first combat is replaced with a shop, and elite fights lead into extra shop visits. From the opening floor, you decide what to buy, what to upgrade, and what to remove. The unique keyword, Perk, triggers an additional effect when a card is bought from a shop. Perks can upgrade or transform cards in your deck, increase max HP, grant gold, or create relic value. Shop visits become major build-defining moments, and purchased cards can carry long-term rewards beyond their combat text. The Aristocrat supports several major archetypes: - Gold management: gain and spend gold, then convert it into damage, block, Strength, Dexterity, or relic value. - Shop-driven deckbuilding: use 999 starting gold and Perks to define your deck from the first act. - Strike and Defend scaling: begin with seven Strikes and seven Defends, then upgrade, transform, duplicate, retain, exhaust, or automatically play them as real win conditions. - Innate planning: build powerful opening turns with innate cards, retain effects, and powers that reuse innate cards. The Aristocrat is about the pleasure of spending gold well and the pressure of making shop choices early. A heavy starter deck can become a polished engine, a Strike and Defend machine, an innate-card opener, or a gold-driven value deck. Some character relics also change reward flow in unusual ways, including Gold Circlet, a shop relic that can appear again after purchase.
