StudySpire - Learn While You Slay! This mod is a redevelopment of "@__name__'s CET46 In Spire". A huge thank you to the original author for their open-source code. This version expands on the original by adding single/multiple-choice quiz modes and a system for importing your own custom study decks. 🚀 Mod Features Overview StudySpire is an innovative mod for Slay the Spire that blends gameplay with learning. Master new knowledge efficiently while you conquer the Spire! Core Features • Learning Event: Receive a "Book" from Neow at the start of a run. Playing a card in combat will then trigger a quiz question. • Three Learning Modes: Word Recall, Single Choice, and Multiple Choice. • Custom Decks: Import your own study materials using CSV and JSON files. • Reward System: • Answer Correctly: The card you played is played extra times based on your score. (e.g., score 3 points, the card plays 3 times total. Everyone's a Pressure Cooker now!) • Answer Incorrectly: The card is still played, but its numerical values become 0. (e.g., Electrodynamics will trigger but generate 0 Lightning orbs). 📚 Built-in Decks • Word Recall: CET4, CET6 (Chinese English proficiency tests), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) terms. • Single Choice: TCM Internal Medicine (700+ questions), Basic Arithmetic (Demo). • Multiple Choice: Biology (Demo). 🛠️ How to Add Your Own Decks (Tutorial) IMPORTANT: After adding a new deck, you MUST go to the Mod Config menu to set its weight. A weight of 0 disables the deck. Step 1: Create the Deck Folder Navigate to your Slay the Spire root directory (In Steam: Right-click game > Manage > Browse local files) and create the following folder structure: /StudySpireResource/vocabulary/ Place your custom deck files inside the `vocabulary` folder. Step 2: Create Your Deck File (CSV is recommended) File Naming Rules (The prefix determines the mode): • Word Recall Mode: word_*.csv (e.g., word_GMAT.csv) • Single Choice Mode: single_*.csv (e.g., single_history.csv) • Multiple Choice Mode: multiple_*.csv (e.g., multiple_biology.csv) CSV Format Examples Word Recall Mode (Question, Answer1, Answer2...): "abandon","v. to give up, to desert" Single Choice Mode (Question, CorrectAnswer, WrongAnswer1, ...): "Which is the longest river in China?","Yangtze River","Yellow River","Pearl River" Multiple Choice Mode (Question, NumberOfCorrectAnswers, Correct1, Correct2, ..., Wrong1, ...): "Which of the following are primary colors?",3,"Red","Yellow","Blue","Green","Orange" JSON Format JSON is also supported for more complex structures. For detailed examples, please refer to the built-in deck files located in the mod's folder. Step 3: Important Notes • File Encoding: Always save your files with UTF-8 encoding to prevent character errors. • Commas in CSV: If a field in your CSV contains a comma (,), you must enclose the entire field in double quotes (""). • File Size: To ensure fast loading, it's recommended to keep each deck under 500 entries. Step 4: Enable in Game • Start Slay the Spire → Go to Mods → Find StudySpire → Click the Config button. • Set a weight greater than 0 for the decks you want to use. A higher weight means questions from that deck will appear more frequently. 🛠️ Future Development Plans (Roadmap) • Better rewards for consecutive correct answers. • In-game stats to track your answer accuracy. • UI improvements, especially for displaying complex questions. • An improved shuffling algorithm to reduce question repetition.
