A Fresh and Balanced Way to Experience the Watcher In-Depth Watcher Rebalance is a mod designed to dial back the Watcher’s power, bringing her in line with the more balanced challenge of Slay the Spire's other characters. While the Watcher is known for her versatility, with her powerful stance-switching mechanics and card synergies, her ability to quickly accumulate energy and deal massive damage has often made her feel too strong, particularly in higher Ascension levels. This mod focuses on toning down her raw potential, providing a more measured, challenging experience. Key adjustments include increasing the energy costs of some of her core cards, such as Eruption, Vigilance, and Devotion, making her stance-switching less efficient and requiring more thoughtful timing and energy management. The ability to easily cycle into Wrath and unleash huge amounts of damage is no longer as reliable, forcing players to think more carefully about when and how they transform. Cards like Wallop and Deceive Reality have also been adjusted to reduce their scaling potential, so the Watcher’s combo-heavy plays won’t snowball out of control as easily. Moreover, the Watcher’s ability to generate energy, especially through Empty Body and Prostrate, has been toned down to prevent her from effortlessly building up a massive energy pool while staying safe in Calm.
