The Abyss is an alternate act 3 (and 4!) themed around horrors and aberrations. Once where eldritch and primeval beings were sealed away, the Abyss is now at the heart of their reawakening. And beyond the Abyss is found the Void, where adventurers will face the ultimate test. Together with the Menagerie (act 1) and the Elementarium (act 2), it is part of a full set of alternate acts for Slay the Spire. Like my other mods, my aim with the Abyss to create a unique experience that is faithful to base game but explores new design space and creates interesting choices. You will find the full set of what you expect in new acts: new encounters, new elites, new bosses, new events, new relics, and new cards. And this time, it's two acts: in addition to the Abyss, this mod includes the Void, an act 4 that has a new elite and final boss to rival the heart (like the base game, you'll need to collect the three keys to access act 4). Together, the two acts have a balance of new ideas and fights, events, and relics that are inspired by the base game -- and that together with the Menagerie and the Elementarium, provide a full set of alternate acts for Slay the Spire! • Navigate a land ravaged by dark powers and terrible behemoths! • Wield dark and corrupted power... and pay the price! • Find brief peace in secluded shrines and untainted wilderness! • Face the onslaught of horrors freed from their chains! • Discover ancient crystals that once guarded the land! • Experience crossover content with the Menagerie and the Elementarium! • Confront the dreadful power within the heart of the void! Go forth and explore the Abyss! The Abyss has full Bestiary integration. With Bestiary running, you can Shift+Right+Click enemies to see an overlay explaining their moves. If you like modded acts but want the same knowledge and insight into enemy move patterns as in the base game, this is for you!
