In the shop, just a dozen gold short of that coveted relic or card? You spot a powerful combo and wish you could take everything? At a small cost that doesn't overly upset game balance, get some extra gold. In short, at every shop in a run, you can actively accept a curse card in exchange for gold. Specifically, in each run, you can do the following in the shop: Gain 1 Debt and receive 50 gold. Gain 1 Greed and receive 120 gold. Gain 1 Enthralled and receive 300 gold. Each of these actions can only be performed once per run, adding more depth to shop strategy (for sure), and also reducing the chance of regret (literally) to some extent (e.g., being 10 gold short for Membership Card, Kunai, Shuriken, or Top). The current numbers are gut‑feel placeholders; the gold rewards are intentionally set much lower than event equivalents (since you always visit shops). The mod's original intent is as stated in the first line: to reduce a bit of regret without significantly affecting balance. With no prior modding, C#, or Godot experience, the vast majority of the code was written with the assistance of DeepSeek (tested, probably no bugs... right?).
