A mysterious servant of the King offers powerful relics to those who have conquered the highest trials. Prove your worth, pay tribute in blood, or face the King himself in his Throne Room. The Quest Line A three-act quest gates the King's audience behind progressively harder challenges: • Act 1 — meet the King's Servant and obtain Mardan's Challenge. • Act 2 — face the King's Champion at Mardan's Trial; win the Ring and an Invitation. • Act 3 — present your Invitation in the King's Throne Room. Every step is gated by the previous one — no skipping ahead. Act 1 — The King's Servant A cloaked figure steps from the shadows in Act 1, bearing a summons. Three responses: • Accept the Summons — Obtain Mardan's Challenge, an unplayable Quest card that guarantees Mardan's Trial spawns in Act 2. • Offer Blood — Lose 5 HP. Upgrade a card. • Humbly Decline — Gain 10 Max HP. Downgrade a random upgraded card. Act 2 — Mardan's Trial A quest-only event summoned by Mardan's Challenge. The King's Champion waits at the warrior's resting place — an Act 2 elite-tier enemy with 165 HP, the signature Royal Bearing power (gains Strength at the end of every turn), and a fixed four-move cycle: Stance (Block), Judgment (multi-hit), Demand (single hit + Weak), and Wrath (single big hit). Class-neutral mechanics so every character has a fair fight. • Accept the Challenge — Fight the King's Champion. Win to obtain Mardan Fu Mardan's Ring and the King's Invitation. • Bargain for the Ring — Take Mardan Fu Mardan's Ring without a fight. Bear the King's Curse in exchange. Act 3 — The King's Throne Room Present your Invitation to enter. Once inside, choose one: • Forge the Ring Anew — Replace Mardan Fu Mardan's Ring with Sultan's Ring. Sultan's Ring triggers each turn instead of once per combat — devastating for Power-heavy decks. Costs 20% of your Max HP. • Open the Treasury — Obtain 3 random Relics and 60–120 Gold. • Ask for Power — Remove 4 random cards from your Deck and choose a Rare card from any character. • Royal Refinement — Upgrade 5 cards of your choosing. In multiplayer, players who arrive at the Throne Room without an Invitation can attempt to Parley for a 10% chance to gain audience anyway — no penalty on failure. New Cards & Relics • Mardan's Challenge (Quest card) — Unplayable. Forces Mardan's Trial to spawn in Act 2. • King's Invitation (Quest card) — Unplayable. Unlocks the King's Throne Room in Act 3. • Mardan Fu Mardan's Ring (Relic) — The first Power you play each combat is played an extra time. • Sultan's Ring (Relic) — The first Power you play each turn is played an extra time. • King's Curse (Relic) — Lose 1 HP at the start of each combat. Multiplayer Fully compatible with singleplayer and multiplayer. • Shared events — The King's Servant (Act 1) and Mardan's Trial (Act 2) run as shared events so every player in the lobby experiences them together. • Per-player events — The King's Throne Room (Act 3) is per-player so each player chooses their own reward path independently. Configuration Configurable King's Servant spawn mode via the in-game mod config: • Default — natural Act 1 event pool. • Enhanced — boosted appearance in Act 1. • Guaranteed — first Act 1 event room is always King's Servant. Languages Fully translated into all 14 official game languages: English, German, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Thai. Every mechanical term (Power, Upgrade, Rare, Ascension, Max HP, etc.) uses MegaCrit's exact vanilla vocabulary — no invented terminology. Non-English translations are AI-assisted, with every term cross-referenced against the vanilla translation.
