Kaoyan English Mod Kaoyan English Mod adds a vocabulary challenge system to Slay the Spire 2. Start a run with the Kaoyan Dictionary , choose whether to challenge yourself in combat, answer English vocabulary questions each round, and gain rewards — or suffer the consequences of mistakes. Main Features • Vocabulary challenges inside combat Answer word-definition questions during battle. • Selectable word books Choose from: Gaokao , CET-4 , Kaoyan , TOEFL , and IELTS . • Risk and reward gameplay Correct answers let you choose combat rewards. Wrong answers can add the Word Bind curse to your hand. • Word Bind curse mechanic While in your hand, Word Bind disables vocabulary rewards and prevents skipping questions. When played, it makes you lose HP based on your wrong-word count. • Run vocabulary tracking The mod tracks answered words, wrong words, and mastered words during a run. • Multiplayer-aware design Vocabulary challenge results are synchronized through the mod's action system to reduce desync issues. How It Works • At the start of combat, choose Challenge or Skip Challenge . • If you challenge, you answer vocabulary questions during combat. • Correct answers give you a reward choice. • Wrong answers add pressure through the Word Bind curse. • At the end of a run, the mod can summarize your vocabulary progress. Current Word Books • Gaokao - Chinese high school / college entrance vocabulary. • CET-4 - College English Test Band 4 vocabulary. • Kaoyan - Postgraduate entrance exam English vocabulary. • TOEFL - TOEFL-oriented academic vocabulary. • IELTS - IELTS-oriented academic and test vocabulary. Important Notes • This is a gameplay-affecting mod. • Balance may continue to change as Slay the Spire 2 is updated. • The mod is designed for vocabulary practice and fun, not as an official exam preparation product. • If you find a bug, please report your game version, enabled mods, and what happened before the issue appeared.
