Please turn on Animation Speed-up! Otherwise the attack animations will be painfully slow! The Aemeath Character Mod Has Officially Arrived! Bilibili Profile Latest Video Feel free to click in and watch if you're interested (please, please help me get some views, I'm begging you) Installing mods enables a MOD-mode save that is kept separate from your vanilla save. Your save is NOT lost — this is the base game's own behavior!!!!!!!!!!! Here's a quick rundown of the mod's main content. First, all of the Spine animations are finished — including idle, attack, skill, hit, and death animations for both the human form and the Mech form, plus the shop and rest-site (campfire) animations for the human form. The card art isn't fully done yet — counting derivative cards, there are around a hundred of them, which is a lot, so it's expected to be finished in July. The character's mechanics fall into three main categories: Implosion (AoE and "cycling"), Charge (big-number damage), and Marble Summoning (soaks half your damage and triggers all sorts of mysterious little effects). Implosion relies mainly on the starter relic and is Aemeath's core mechanic. Most of the AoE damage and the "cycling" are tied to detonating the Implosion effect. That said, it's also the most power-card-dependent playstyle — once you get the core power cards and get it going, it just cycles endlessly with ease. Charge works much like the Watcher: play Charge-related cards to build up Charge, and once it reaches a threshold you can enter Mech Form or Mech Overload Form — actively or passively — doubling your damage (Overload Form triples it, but you also take triple damage). You also gain a card called "This Night, the Sea of Stars Runs Clear" , which accumulates all the damage you deal during this Mech Form and can only be played after you exit Mech Form (to limit output efficiency). At the start of each turn you draw 1 and gain 1 energy (2 in Overload Form), and lose 10 Charge (then 15, 20 — scaling up in steps). Once your Charge runs out, you're forced to exit Mech Form next turn; exiting inflicts Weak for one turn (Weak 1, Vulnerable 1, draw 1 fewer, 1 less energy), and in Overload Form, running out of Charge means you die next turn . The Marble Summoning mechanic is shown in the images above: there are twenty cute little Marbles you can summon in total. Think of a summoned Marble as a cross between Osty, a Charge Orb, and a Power card — it soaks half of your unblocked damage for you. Each Marble has one active and one passive effect: the passive works as long as the Marble is alive, while the active needs a specific set of five cards to trigger. But don't worry — many Marbles give extremely strong buffs just by existing, and drastically cut down the damage Aemeath takes. When a Marble dies, the card you played to summon it returns to your hand at +1 cost , so as long as you have the energy, you never have to worry about keeping Marbles alive. A few "overpowered" Marble examples • Jinhsi Marble : HP 10 Passive : At the start of the turn, the owner picks a card from the discard pile to add to their hand, then draws 1 fewer card. Active : The owner picks a card from the exhaust pile and gains a copy of it. • Zhezhi Marble : HP 8 Passive : Every time the owner plays 7 cards, they may pick a card in hand and gain a copy of it, then add a "Scrapped Draft" to hand (Scrapped Draft: 1 cost, Exhaust, no actual effect). Active : Summon a copy of the Marble you most recently summoned. • Sigrika Marble : HP 9 Passive : At the end of the owner's turn, for every two unplayed cards left in hand, gain 1 energy next turn (rounded down). Active : Everyone gains 1 energy. • Hiyuki Marble : HP 8 Passive : At the start of the turn, if the owner has no "Prefetch" in hand, gain a "Prefetch" (Prefetch: 1 cost — pick a card from your draw pile, gain a copy of it with the Exhaust keyword, then lock the chosen card so it can't be played; Exhaust). Active : Unlock all locked cards. There's plenty more waiting for you to discover for yourself. That's the gist of the mod. Feel free to download and give it a try, and don't forget to leave some feedback when you're done. Right now Aemeath is seriously overpowered — so far I've solo-cleared Ascension 10, and the only run I've lost was one where the game gave me zero Marble cards to grab and I took way too much damage.
